Balda AG / Key word(s): Miscellaneous
Bad Oeynhausen, 6 March 2007 – Balda is rapidly concluding the proposed
strategic refocusing. Following the sale of four plants, Balda’s Management
Board on Tuesday morning agreed to the arbitration committee’s proposal for
a social compensation plan for Balda Solutions Germany and Balda Tool Shop.
The affected employees will be taken over by a transfer company as of 1
April. There they will continue to be employed and will have the
opportunity to gain additional qualifications, with a view of finding new
jobs as soon as possible.
‘With it, we honour our social responsibility for all employees,’ said
Balda CEO Joachim Gut. ‘ The costs arising from the job cuts are within
plan and are thus fully reflected in the earnings projections for 2006.
Balda has thus implemented the actions as announced on 24 October 2006
within the self-imposed time-frame.
